Sanna,

Thanks for the report on Veeti. Are there yet any other Ponseti

method parents or doctors in Finland?

There are no other Ponseti method parents in Finland, but Veeti's

original doctor will be travelling to Iowa City some time next

January. He has already modified his previous method (casting+surgery

almost in all cases) and is now using a similar methdod to that of

Ponseti's, which includes manipulation and casting, heel cord

tenotomy and use of Foot Abduction Brace.

This is the same doctor I have talked about here before, but it seems

to be a time-taking process to get him on the plane to Iowa.. and he

isn't reporting me about his actions, but the other doctor we saw the

other day said that he is definitely going to go.

Hi, Sanna,

I just wanted to throw this out for you......even though you're in

Finland..... Dr. Herzenberg is a world reknown for his work on limb

lengthening in addition to his clubfoot expertise. Perhaps you could

consult with him regarding Veeti's case at some point in the future

if it looks like he will need surgery. Just thought I'd mention it

so you can store it in your mind for future reference.

His website is www.limblengthening.org

All the best-
