Guest guest
Minnesota is doing okay... some areas are in danger of flood... I heard one county let high school students out to help get sand bags out to protect the community... I'm hearing other states are not doing so well though.... my thoughts are for them..... Here we had about an inch of rain yesterday but the frost seems to be out of the ground and there was no unusual run off.... Guest guest
we've gotten some rain and 40mph winds but that is about all. feels really really good. andrea Re: Self-Monitoring Years of research on line, talking with folks in the groups and personal experience. Stuff like the self monitoring.. that has been around since the late 1800's, used as a tool for thyroid diagnosis and care. The blood tests have only been around since the mid 1900's and most docs test only TSH, not bothering, or not understanding the need to test the Thyroid hormones as well. TSH is a pituitary hormone and has very little value for most of us on thyroid hormone replacement. Some folks also need TSH monitored but the percentage is small. All of us need the thyroid hormones, Free T4 and Free T3, tested though, it's the only way to know if you are getting adequate replacement and if your body is converting efficiently. A person that is still dealing with hypo symptoms that has labs showing that both TSH and T4 look 'okay' but has a Free T3 that is low in it's range will know that their symptoms may not be due to solely to insufficient replacement but also has a lot to do with their ability to convert hormone... Self monitoring lets you keep track of how your body is responding to dosage adjustments and lets you learn to track the numbers and compare them to how you feel.... you can actually tell when it's time for you to increase a dose or to wait for a while yet..... Fascinating to watch... it's how I did my own adjustments, to get them where I was back among the living and no longer one of the walking dead.... .... I get carried away.... I'll be quiet now... hehehehee Topper () On Mon, 3 Apr 2006 12:41:12 -0700 "Liz C. s" writes: To Topper, I was reading the link on your web site about self-monitoring, and I was just curious as to how you learned about it, and much of the information that's on the site, thanks. Guest guest
I'm forever pulling plugs on the puters during summer storms... gets to be a pain in the butt sometimes.. but beats frying them if the lightening hits too close to the house. The last major incident here fried my VCR, actually cooked the motor in it to a seized mass...
