I hope things settle down for you - that sure was a hectic week.

Your mom's pain sounds like it is from a nerve problem. The standing and

laying down would put pull on a major nerve which might explain why sitting

is best. Have they suggested physical therapy for her? I know I went when I

had sciatica and it helped.

---Sorry about your eventful and stressfull week. Be sure to rest

and take care of yourself. I know stress is really hard on me. What

about you?

Re: dysautonomia web sites NDRF and POTS Place are the best ones

that I know of. Just plug them into your web search. You should have

no trouble finding them.

Best Wishes,

dawn

got so severe she said it was like labor pain. We went to the ER and

the dang ER people werent thorough enough I dont think, they looked

into kidney issues and once they saw none the said it was a pinched

nerve and pulled muscle. I still feel this hard to believe as I've

had both and what she describes the burning deep pain just doesnt

sound like it. But anyways, she saw her regular dr friday and they

think its that too- so, we'll see. Its worse when she stands up or

lays down but sitting up she does pretty well. They also thought

singles but no rash. On to my brother- he gets the cysts- ack, they

start with an L but my word recall is getting worse. But he's prone

to them and somehow one got infected and absessed and began to

spread deep into his muscle and lymph nodes (hes now on heavy duty

antibiotics)- he let it go too long also. But when his leg started

going numb tues night he decided time to go to the ER, so off I go

again after getting home from my mom's ER trip. They do surgery

right away to drain it and so far other than having severe pain in

the leg, it seems to be doing fine. He's having alot of probs

sleeping also, I really feel bad for him cuz he really hasnt had to

deal with health probs other than his GI probs and cluster like

headaches. Anyways, also on tues I saw an Social security

psychologist for tests- he did something like neuropsych tests and I

failed quite a few of them especially on word recall and memory. It

was just kinda depressing cuz I know I'm fairly intellegent and it

just showed how much my cognetive probs are getting slowly worse.

But hey, guess it will help with disability at least. Also my

brother stole some of my pain meds so I'm w/o any for a week- only

way I can get some sooner is if I charge him w/stealing them and I

just dont wanna do that (I couldnt prove it and well, its a long

story). So, ive been in severe pain these past few days and going

through some withdrawal symptoms. Then new years eve and last night

were really chaotic- personal stuff that happened with my best

friend and stuff- shes really having mental health issues and doing

alot of things that worry me and I just hope she doesnt have a

mental breakdown or something soon. I just feel like I've been the

caregiver this past week for several people, specially my family-

fetching them stuff and whatnot. Anyways- I have started on part of

the mito cocktail my dr told me I should so I'm taking coQ10, l-

carnitine and riboflavin along with my meds. I have also started to

use an eye patch when my eyes get very tired cuz my double vision

has gotten severe at times, whats weird is that I get double vision

in my right eye whether or not I cover my left but covering my right

works- so is the double vision just from my right eye? I could

understand that I guess since my hearing loss is mainly in my right

ear and my right side is where I get most my complex partial

seizures and SLEs. Anyways, just wondering about that and also just

questioning if anyone would know what could be causing my mom's

pain. She has alot of mito symptoms, especially dysautonomia

symptoms and GI issues. Then my brother, I guess now he should do

something about those cysts before they get that bad- I'm wondering

if thats mito related too. Also my aunt has dysautonomia symptoms-

she sweats alot, gets dizzy alot on standing, her temp and heart

rate fluctuate alot and recently she fainting when she was sick and

getting out of a warm tub- she wants info on dysautonomia especially

on the temp control probs and sweating, anyone know of any good

sites, i used to but cant find them. Well, this is getting longI

just was hoping to get some suggestions on some of this stuff.

thanks for any help. I told myself I would start to answer 1-2 posts

a day not to outdo myself but this alone has taken all my strength,

maybe later cuz I do have some stuff I wanna share and whatnot. till

then, thanks.

Smiles,

Hi guys,Just thought I would ask a few questions and say how crazy of a week it has been for me. It started Tuesday- ended up in the ER not for myself but first for my mom, then my brother all in the same night. My mom had been out of town the weekend before at her mothers and was lifting stuff at my grandma's house. She began to feel back pain the morning after and then it slowly radiated into her right hip and lower right abdomen. She came back tuesday and the pain just got so severe she said it was like labor pain. We went to the ER and the dang ER people werent thorough enough I dont think, they looked into kidney issues and once they saw none the said it was a pinched nerve and pulled muscle. I still feel this hard to believe as I've had both and what she describes the burning deep pain just doesnt sound like it. But anyways, she saw her regular dr friday and they think its that too- so, we'll see. Its worse when she stands up or lays down but sitting up she does pretty well. They also thought singles but no rash. On to my brother- he gets the cysts- ack, they start with an L but my word recall is getting worse. But he's prone to them and somehow one got infected and absessed and began to spread deep into his muscle and lymph nodes (hes now on heavy duty antibiotics)- he let it go too long also. But when his leg started going numb tues night he decided time to go to the ER, so off I go again after getting home from my mom's ER trip. They do surgery right away to drain it and so far other than having severe pain in the leg, it seems to be doing fine. He's having alot of probs sleeping also, I really feel bad for him cuz he really hasnt had to deal with health probs other than his GI probs and cluster like headaches. Anyways, also on tues I saw an Social security psychologist for tests- he did something like neuropsych tests and I failed quite a few of them especially on word recall and memory.
