Guest guest
I use to have problems with SAD. I bought a plant life and hung it up over where I sat when I sewed. It seemed to help a lot. You use to be able to get them pretty inexpensive at Wal-Mart. SAD Has anyone else here had a really bad case of depression start since the clocks changed and we don't have as much light? I suppose it depends where you live. I'm in Boston. I've now noticed a definite connection of how depressed I have become since it started to get cold and since we changed the clocks and it's dark by 4:30. I have always suffered from seasonal affective disorder, but this year it is worse than ever. It's taking all my will just to keep going. I went to a very dark place with depression last week and it's always worse as soon as it gets dark. Anyone else with this problem? What can be done about this? I heard vitamin D can help and I guess those light boxes.

Guest guest
I think she meant to say " Plant Lite " , it's one of those light bulbs that give out natural light to help indoor plants grow better. - Janet > What is a plant life? > > > Re: SAD > > > I use to have problems with SAD. Guest guest
I'm in the UK so not the best person to ask. You need the highest lux output you can get, a google search will tell you more about them Lynda Re: SAD > Where is the best place to get one and how do you know you're > getting a good one. Guest guest
I have had good luck with my SAD box. It is portable. The website is www.apollolight.com They also have a lot of reference articles and a circadian rhythm tool that helps you decide how much light/when to use it. > > Where is the best place to get one and how do you know you're getting a good one. Guest guest
The Sun Box Company is very good as well. www.sunbox.com I got mine there a few years ago after a lot of research. Mine is still going strong. The company has been around for a long time and stands behind its products.
