I rememer the agony he was in (and we had no idea what was wrong!) Dr arrived, called an ambulance, and whilst we were waiting, gave him a shot of pethadine! When said ambulance eventually arrived they said that if he had not been given the pethadine (which had kicked in by then) they would have given him gas and air!! DH most miffed as he still had vivid memories of what the gas and air had done to me just a few weeks previously! Was last seen getting into ambulance trying to negotiate with driver to see if he could just 'have a little go'!!! Supposedly passing a kidney stone is the closest a male ever gets to the pain of childbirth (according to my DH and his male Dr) Beverly Also an overuser of the !!!!!!!
