Hi I wonder if that was my cardiologists quote of 'Afib is a disease of management' ? *smile* It meant nothing to me when he said it, but 11 months on in NSR, it sure does! Guest guest
Most canned soups contain MSG (monosodium glutamate), which for me is a surefire trigger. I am guaranteed to go into afib if I ingest it. I found a soup called " Amy's " with no msg -- it's pretty good. Guest guest
Hey, let me be clear. When I was referring to " eating stupid " I was referencing my blood pressure which skyrocketed when I shoved real salty food into my over large gut. The result was about four minor minutes-long incidents of real high blood pressure over a 36-hour period (which scared the hell out of me!) .. High blood pressure in this situation (I was to learn from my cardiologist) can also trigger very rapid heart beat (which, in my case lasted two-three minutes) before reverting to high heart beats, which then returned to normal. I have never characterized (nor would I) that " AF was not a disorder of management. " I'm not even sure what the hell that means. I had AF, drugs didn't halt it, and drugs even seemed to make it worse, psychologically and didn't stop the Afib medically. An ablation from Dr. Natale appears, after almost a year, to have worked. Now all I have to do is learn to not eat stupid. Guest guest
LEW: I agree! When I eat stupid, which means too much sugar or spicy wonderful foods, full of garlic and onions, that triggers acid reflux, which can sometimes trigger fib attacks in me. Also chocolate and caffeine seems to be a no no! MandyofCA
