Guest guest
I had a MRS on right gastrocnemius muscle. It was at the same place as that 1991 study was done(McGill/ Montreal neur. Institute). I had it in 1997. You have to exersize your calf muscle in the MRI machine until you are exhausted. Then they do measurements of ATP, inorganic phosphorous, creatine etc. I thought i was totally exhausted but it was the pain from the band where they cut off the blood flow. So the results were inconclusive. so if you have the MRS make sure you work that calf til it is totally exhausted. I am still not diagnosed. But life is better than then because i have made some changes in lifestyle and coping strategies. Thelma
