Guest guest Posted February 24, 2006 Report Posted February 24, 2006 Hi Bev, Please go to this link and scroll on down towards the bottom of this web page for the ingrediant list: http://www.dbindustries.biz/pages/77/index.htm? OVRAW=Alvidar & OVKEY=alvidar & OVMTC=standard No, this is not a replacement therapy medication. So, no, it will not replace Armour or Synthroid or any of the other medications that most of us need to live. This is a bunch of herbs and such that somebody has thrown together to stimulate a 'Healthy Thyroid', or to simulate the stimulation of a healthy thyroid to " help burn off that excess roll of fat " that exercise and healthy eating would work just as well for the regular person with a Healthy Thyroid. It sure isn't worth the money that they are asking for it... Gossimer > > Hi EveryOne, > > Just ran across a supplement called Alvidar for Hypothyroid. Has anyone > tried it? Guest guest Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 I looked up Thyrin ATC last year... what a bunch of hooey.. they even admit it's not a replacement, only a supportive supplement for folks that are recovering from crash dieting..... .... crash and starvation diets actually damage thyroid glands... did you guys know that? They're coming up with more research on folks that are dealing with eating disorders that progress to nutritional imbalance..... Alvidar isn't ringing a bell... I've missed the commercials, I guess?? It was compared to thyril and thyrin ATC . It is just a gimmick kind of thing I couldn't even find a site that would give me the ALL the ingredients in it. And yes you heard about it on TV and it is a commercial about a thyroid / weight loss kinda pill. I had remember seeing t and thought I would look it up cause I have seen the commerical I love how they always make these things so enticing and then when it fails you feel like a fool. Tina Quote
Guest guest Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 You're right... all this stuff makes me think about is it's stimulating a damaged/sick/dying gland and killing it off sooner.... makes me sooo mad. Then you get the folks that say that they took it and it did wonders for them and that is the proof that no one has to use thyroid problems as an excuse, they just have to pop something from the nutrition store and quite making a big deal out of nothing.... argghhh Topper ()www.thyrophoenix.com/donations.htm On Sun, 26 Feb 2006 05:34:06 -0600 " " writes: Yep, that's gonna be the one. It just makes me soooo mad that these people can get away with claiming to bring the thyroid "to life" again, as though they can be regenerated when they've had so much damage to them. At least, by the time we find out there's something wrong with a thyroid, it's usually had so much damage and more to come. Our government (in co-ordination with Big Pharma) is oppressing people for taking herbals and such to make better or nearly cure diseases, but they let these shysters get away with selling all this crap "as seen on tv". Right is wrong and wrong is right, lol. Quote
