I am glad you are starting the journey. We never arrive someplace without

first starting.

As for your breathing, you might want to really rest for several days and

see if that improves your sats. I have to use oxygen with my CPAP, because I

only breath 2-3 times per minute and not deeply when asleep. When awake, I

breath slowly when tired, but at least it causes me to take a big deep

breath every so often.

Good luck,

laurie

tomorrow and Friday

Tomorrow is the first big day in my search for answers. I have discussed mito with my pc and he scheduled a physical for tomorrow afternoon. His first reaction was "gosh, this is a bizarre step to ask about mitochondrial disease" but I had copies of facts from the UMDF website and tons of info from Dr Alice! After glancing at the symptoms and causes on the sheets he agreed that it would be nice to find a closer diagnosis since many of my problems 'cross over' and there have always been questions about Lupus really being the answer.

I know that this is something everyone on here has faced personally or with family..it is only the first step but at least he is open to investigation..actually he said, "so what you want is for me to order these tests" and I said yes, please. He is most concerned about increased difficulty breathing and my CPAP and has scheduled an appointment with the sleep doctor for Friday...suddenly, for no apparent reason my sats are only upper 80's, unless I concentrate on deep breathing.

To those of you who helped point me to this direction, I thank you.

Debra,

Good luck! It isn't a easy road to travel, but remember we are here at

the side of the road to help in any way we can.
