Guest guest
Hi Nyree, I just got back from Vegas, my advice??? Don't try to do CALP while your there!! It didn't work for me anyway, should have stayed straight Atkins....... I did eat mostly buffets and they were fabulous with lots of choices......(the one at the Paris is by far the best but pricey, lobster, crab, shrimp, steak, the works!)........Well, I tried the reward meal thing and the extra carbs made me swell up terrible, my ankles were the size of elephants by day 2 and my skin was so swollen that it hurt!!!..........tip 2........lots and lots of water, it is sooooooooo dry out there.......get a big bottle and fill with ice and water from your room so you don't have to pay 3.00 for a bottle of water though!! don't forget to go see the hoover dam!! great tour at las vegas motor speedway too if you guys like racing Annie _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
Guest guest
Nyree, Where is the lo carb cafe? It would be nice to have your friend supporting you. Where will you be staying? I do better if I just stay away from the dessert bar altogether although there is a sugar free section. But the sugar free section still has desserts made with flour. Depends on how sensitive you are. I'm very sensitive to everything I shouldn't have so I don't have it. Annie, were you at the Paris buffet on a Friday night? That's usually the night you find seafood on the buffets in most any casino. Did you make it down to the Reserve while you were here? They have a good buffet thought it costs more and is much further away from where we live so we usually go to the one at Texas Station. Of course, there's lots we haven't tried. The buffet at the Sahara is another good one. The Rio is very expensive--I think they have 2 different ones. I'm told the one at Sam's Town is good but haven't been there in years. Oh, someone asked how long we've lived here. It was 4 years on May 13. And, by the way, it hasn't gotten hot yet. This week has been in the upper 90's and lower 100's. I'm dreading when it gets to the teens--110-120. That's when it's hot!! Today we are going to the truck show that is in town and I'll take a box of Tyson Time Trimmers to nibble on during the day. I'll take one bottle of water and fill it as needed while I'm there. I should get plenty of exercise walking and standing. I can hardly wait!
