Well, I checked with my EP today and he said I can stop the Dofetilide cold

turkey. I think I may taper it to be on the safe side!

Kathleen - I've been missing some messages, but why are you going off the

Tikosyn? My cardio asked me if I wanted to, but I said NO WAY! This is the

longest I've been in rhythm for several years now!

Hi K......

I would probably do the same thing--but if he said OK, it's probably

OK. If you have any questions about it, you can even call Pfizer and

talk to one of their phamacists that specialize in dofetilide--I did

that one day because of being told about changing the time of my

dosages. (Sometimes I go to extremes being careful--but sometimes it

has been worthwhile.) I do tend to drive my cardio nuts sometimes

but he has always been patient.

If you need Pfizer's number f/ the Tikosyn, let me know.

I always have several 'stashes' of dofetilide " just in case " something happens

to one of them! And when I travel, I keep all my meds in my carry-on, which is

with me at all times. This doesn't help it if my carry-on gets stolen, but

hopefully with meds in my purse, my carry-on and a stash in my regular luggage,

all three won't get stolen at the same time..

I will admit that dofetilide is a pain that way, but what can we do.. for me it

works like a charm, and the pain is worth the price of having to be paranoid

about having enough with me!
