During my consult with Natale I was told the same thing. And that I

would have to wait a few months for the Ami to wash out before he

could do an PVI. ly he was more concerned with the side

effects. I also had a consult with an other nationally known EP who

stated that since he would make the same burn patterns around the

PV's whether someone was on Ami or not that it shouldn't be that big

an issue. Maybe it's because Natale does the French versus the

Italian procedure. That's what bothers me about Afib, ablation and

the EP field.....no one seems to know for sure what is the best way

to attack the problem and what the best solution is.

The real rat poison is Wafarin/Coumadin. And not some but every

doctor wants you on that.

Hi Virginia, was there a reason that it was only to be for three months? I'm

wondering why you were taken off it in preference for Warfarin? Did anyone

happen to tell you why?

I can understand your apprehension before your PVA, but as most on this group

will reassure you, a good outcome is the usual expectation after recovery and

you are then hopefully going to be AFib free! What a wonderful thought!:)

I know the 'daily dance' you refer to very well, though thankfully at

present, I'm enjoying a long spell symptom free, since taking magnesium daily

and

calcium and eating organic (maybe a coincidence?) .

I will be thinking of you and please let us know how everything goes for you

as soon as you feel well enough:)

Take good care and talk to you again soon at the beginning of your future

life in NSR! :)

Haze in UK

>>Hi Haze,

After my heart attack, which was caused by a clot in my right

coronary artery the consensus was I had been in AFIB and didn't

feel it that caused the clot, however I assure you all when this

heart of mine is doing it's daily dance I feel every step !Dr's

put me on Plavix, while in the hospital I was also on Luvenox sp.

Upon release I was put on Warfarin, the Plavix was to be for three

months as I did have stenting .I'm off the Plavix as of this week

and the Warfarin today (sat.) two days before my procedure I will

be injecting Fragmin, that should keep my INR in the right place.

Thanks for you well wishes , needless to say I'm a tad

nervous .......At the time of my event I was on 50 mg attenolol and

20 mg accupril . Virginia
