LOL ! I'm female and I've had breast reduction surgery and I live in

Southern California land of a gazillion breast implants. Many of my friends

have had them, many regret them. I think you need to talk to the surgeon

again, my guess is she may believe she can give you decent size breasts with

lift without implants. I have seen some amazing mastoplexys where they use

your excess skin to refill the breasts! A lift is pretty much forever

(barring pregnancy or extreme weight gain), implants are referred to as to be

replaced every 10 years . . . yes, some do better, some do worse. Ask your

surgeon what she is thinking, see if my quess is right?

Vickie, this would be a wonderful alternative for me! Do you know of many

doctors who are doing this? Is it a standard procedure? Is there a web

site I could check this out on? Thanks for the information!

I have to agree with you about maybe someone not needing implants. I know

on my doctors site (used to be www.personique.com ) that the mastopexy can

look quite amazing. And yes, they have implants for guys now, but I passed

on them. I wondered how I would look as a shriveled up 90 year old with

toothpick legs pushing my walker through the nursing home along with these

big old pecs. The doctor just laughed and said there would probably be a

line of women in walkers chasing me :-0

Also, I decided I had enough moving parts to keep up with.

Many surgeons are doing it this way! It looks better than natural breasts,

but not as " too perfect " as an implant. (No offense to anyone intended, but

I can spot an implant from a mile away.) The advantage is there is no chance

of rupture or encapsulation. You should consult with several plastic surgeon

to findout who in your area is doing mastoplexy this way. in Ohio

had her's done this way and looked wonderful!
