I have had four biopsies in the last 10 years on my face for suspicious lesions. The first two...several years ago...were cystic in nature and were surgically excised leaving scars. Two years ago ..the doctor had to cauterize one after a punch biopsy because the skin WAS TOO THICK to do a stitch. He thought it was a basal cell cancer, but the biopsy was negative for that. Then about 9 months after that, I had another one..and his partner actually said to me " I've never seen anything like that " . He biopsied it...it was nothing...but that place filled up with fluid and remained ulcerated until I got on Armour...and then it healed. I have written all the dermatologists involved and politey told them that skin disorders are a symptom of hypo...and maybe if someone over 30 comes into their office with skin disorders - they might oughta mention it. And i explained " thickened skin " was a hypo symptom since they didn't seem to know it. are all the doctors clueless? And folks wonder why i don't trust doctors....that's only one story.... cindi

Guest guest
Someone asked where to find hypoT/skin tag connection. I think it was on Gail's Thyroid Tips that I read about skin cancer. I couldn't access it tonight but last week it was at: http://www.personal.atl.bellsouth.net/w/u/wurmstei/ Gail told her story of being chronically sick, begging for Armour but variour doctors would only give her T4. She developed horrible symptoms including skin cancer on her face! Underdiagnosed for too long. If you can pull up the website, she has a testimony. I only have a few skin tags... but have developed a small growth below my temple on side of my face. A doc said it's not a problem (not cancer), but would continue to grow slowly. He said it's from sun exposure, but I think its from being undiagnosed for too many years (most likely undiagnosed for 14 years). The depression might lift quickly, but this type cellular damage is what is scarry. The sad part- just like the rest of you... IF we had Armour when our symptoms began.... But oh how thankful to have found it now!!!! S.
