Guest guest Posted May 10, 2005 Report Posted May 10, 2005 We have a IEP conference on monday. We haven't been able to find out what services, specifically concerning speech therapy, we are entitled to.His SLP and MD evaluation confer that he has Apraxia. The school district told us at the first meeting that they don't have individual speech, but I read in the " Late Talker " book that we can demand individual therapy and that lack of funding it not a reason to deny services. They must train their SLP or pay to send him to an SLP that can provide individual therapy for Apraxia. The problem is: How do we know if the school district is being true to the guidelines if we don't know what they are?? We are in Cincinnati, Ohio. Is there a website with this info???? Thanks for any help. Cath Quote
