Guest guest
Hi, Am new to group, but have been hypothyroid for many years. My experience with potassium. Twice I was put into the hospital in the last few years and both times they found in addition to the reason for my being there I had very low levels of potassium. Both times I was given it intervienously (sp) and felt much better withing a few days. My point is that my doctor never connected hypertension and low potassium levels together. I finally did this myself and the last time my pressure was taken it was normal. Warning: too much potassium will make you weak. In addition to a daily vit. I started taking 99mg of potassium and within a couple of weeks began to feel weak. Checking on the internet I found that too much would cause this so cut back to one tablet a week. As a maintance this seems to be correct for me. Once you reach the correct level your body needs adjust dose to suit your body. > Sorry other Val, I've been gone and am way behind reading messages. > EmergenC is in little packets.
