Guest guest
Anybody have any idea how long it takes soy to get out of the system & stop aggravating our thyroid symptoms or other adverse effects? Does one need to detox from it? Re: What do you all eat? Note that 60% of soy produced in the united states is Genetically Modified so this might or might not have an affect. Of course you may not know if the soy your buying is Genetically Engineered because companies are not required to put this information on the label. Guest guest
I used to get an email daily through something called Real Age, where they stated how you could live longer, by just changing different things. One day my notice came in and it mentioned the benefits of soy. heh. I emailed them because by this time I'd learned enuff to know that those of us with thryoid issues have no business taking anything with soy in it. The response I got was that soy wasn't proven to be a problem for 'anybody' with thyroid disease, which told me just how little they know, so I promptly unsubbed from their emails. I'd forgotten all about it till last night while browsing on yahoogroups, I saw an advertisement on one of the messages. I have to wonder how many people are on that same email list, undiagnosed with thyroid issues, and take soy because they think it's so wonderful because those people say it is? My son used to be a soy addict because he thought it was good too, till I told him to lay off of it. The misinformation out there is just unbelieveable. :-( SandyE~Houston Re: What do you all eat?
