Janie,

thanks for your reply. I have been referred to an eye specialist who didn't

find anything wrong. It doesn't seem to come from the back of the eye like

your husband's. Feels more like a poke in the eye, so much so that my eye

closes in an involuntary movement as soon as it happens.

Re: Stabbling pain in eyes

Lynda, my husband gets that stabbing pain occasionally, but from the

back of the eye. Not sure what causes it, but a doc has told him

just last week that he has a rotation problem in his neck, causing a

nerve problem that can start from behind the ear, wrap around and to

his eyes, which results in a stabbing sensation for him....

Could it be a tic?

My son complains of this too. I wish I knew what it was. He is on adderall.

I don't think he mentioned this during the summer while he was off the

adderall.

I think I remember him mentioning it last year when we were chelating him

also. I will have to go back and check my records.

Let me know if you figure it out please!

isn't a tic when you get a slight twitching of the muscle - could be around the

eye or generally any muscle in the face? I get this too but not the same as

the pain in my eye.

This is a very, very sharp stabbing pain - imagine being poked in the eye with a

needle
