Guest guest
hi all, thank you smith and Janie fro your inout on the ferritin lab #'s. i found an equivalent to ferrous sulfate - i hope- here and started with it today. i read somewhere to take iron supp at leats one hour after taking Armour. Is that right even if I take the Armour subling ? each cap of this supp has 150.mg so 2 caps/day is a good amount ?? as far as those @$$$#* & *!!@@!! anti-depressants - i know i did it wroing but i stopped the 25mg paxil cold turkey. i really hated that one! and i am now doing half of 300mg welbutrin/day, so far 10-ish days. i know i need to go slow but i worry/wonder how the anti-dep affects the Armour and thyroid, if any. hopefully there is none or little. this might sound too weird but tuesday night i was walking home and i noticed the bottoms of my feet felt - no other word for it - dizzy! so strange. and finally- i used to clean house(s) for a semi-living. AND i loved loved loved a dirty dirty dirty house!!! i could tell what i had done and so could the house owners. i did have one lady who i had to convince to stop cleaning for the cleaning lady!! my apt right now is so messy it looks like someone broke in and tried to rob the place! it would be clean - maybe- if someone would pay me to clean it. ha. thank you again. everyone here is super! oxoxo kathryn

Is that right even if I take the Armour subling ? > each cap of this supp has 150.mg so 2 caps/day is a good amount ?? Hi . I haven't found it to be an issue with me. I take my iron at breakfast, and within 30 minutes, am doing my Armour sublingually. As far as how much, when my Ferritin was miserably low, I had to take two 325 mg. tabs of Ferrous Sulfate a day. Jamy did three. If I took less, it took as long as 4 months to get my iron up. With the greater amount, it took 2 months. And this time, I didn't get off it. I take one tab a day faithfully. Until you get your free T3 at the top or over, it's probably wise to still be on some of the Wellbutrin as you are, besides the need to do it safely. And you could also fall back on St. s Wort if needed, though more than the bottles recommend. The Europeans take a lot more than recommended here. And if I lived where you are, I'd be glad to come and clean up your apartment for chocolate. grin. Janie >

Guest guest
Iron and calcium supplements should always be taken around 3 to 4 hrs separated from your thyroid med because they will cause absorption problems, for whatever little will eventually be absorbed through the intestines and stomach. I think that the sublingual thyroid is wonderful, this is the way I take mine, but I'm sure that a little of it also is being absorbed in the stomach, to some degree. Glad you got the iron problem taken care of. I don't think it's the Wellbutrin causing the dizziness, I think that it's withdrawal from the SSRI that you were on. If you read about withdrawal on this sbjct, you will find that it is very very hard to cold turkey an SSRI, plus they do block thyroid hormone, this has been proven over and over. Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Lexapro, Celexa, etc.... thank you thank you > > > hi all, > thank you smith and Janie fro your inout on the ferritin lab > #'s. i found an equivalent to ferrous sulfate - i hope- here and > started with it today. > i read somewhere to take iron supp at leats one hour after taking > Armour.
