Guest guest
Molly, My dr was able to get it thru the labia majora to get the pudenal nerve. Funny thing about that pic in my anatomy book is it showed the dr sticking their one hand in to the vagina but the other hand injecting in to the actual labia majora. Yep it went in to the actual labia majora. My Pain Management dr would feel with her finger (nothing blind going on like would be intravaginally), pressing and then when I told her where it hurt she would stop and inject the medication. Worked great. I've only had to get it done 3 different times but my main problem is with the nerves at the top: genitofemoral and ilioinguinal nerves. If you are interested in seeing the injection placement from my anatomy book let me know and I can send it to you off list. (not sure if I can send these pics to the group or not) And I agree with you that it may not matter as long as the medicine gets to the right place. I've been having to do a ton of research on nerves to the vulvar area in the past few years, especially the last couple months b/c of the latest twist I've had going on with it.
