Guest guest
Hi Gals. Can someone tell me what vulvular vestibullitis is? I went to my dermatologist yesterday and she had a group of gyne experts come in and see me. They said I had this and prescribed metronidazole for it and said I should feel better in two weeks. I also have vaginosis(have no clue how I got this as I my hubby and I have not even had sex in months because of all the pain I have down there due to all my problems) an infection in the vagina that was found by a swab test done by my urogynecologist. This drug is also suppose to treat this. Unfortunately, I am having side affects with this drug (a horrible burning sensation in my tongue), it kept me up all night. I only took one pill of the metronidazole last evening and I am still having the burning in my tongue. I stopped the med and called the dermatologist and her assistant called and said this was not a side affect of this med. I dont buy it because I did not have this senstaion before i took the med. She wants me to continue taking it. I decided to call my urogynecologist to see if he can switch this to maybe a topical cream that goes inside to treat the vaginosis. I also have bladder pain and urethral pain as well. I was told that the vaginosis may be attributing to the urethral pain as well. I also have IC (interstitual cystitis). The only bad thing is that the nurse from my urogynes office said that the metronidazole pill is better than a topical because it is more systemic, but if I cant take it, then I cant take it. Anyhow, what else do you guys use to treat the vulvular vestibulitis? Jen
