Guest guest
I just this week received test results from my dr. My level was 8.5 and she wants to put me on synthroid. Before I do this, I'd like to learn more about natural alternatives. I would love to learn from your experiences. I am almost 39 years old and believe I am in the perimenopause stage of life. I've heard of a connection between that and thyroid imbalance. Anyone have knowledge in this area. Thanks so much.
Guest guest
Hi, First of all, Synthroid only has the T4 hormone, whereas Armour has T1, T2, T3, T4 and calcitonin. As we approach perimenopause, our estrogen declines, but our progesterone declines faster, often causing estrogen dominance, which causes alot of problems. Progesterone gives our thyroid support. That's a nutshell version to answer your question. Perhaps someone will elaborate. Or if you have questions, we'll try to elaborate. in Va. I just this week received test results from my dr.
