hello in VA

thank you for the support! i'm trying out a different hospital on

monday (that is where the docs have their offices here) and will ask

for ferritin and the antibodies tests. if they will do those labs

hopefully i'll have more pieces of the puzzle.

those first labs were around 12:30 to 1pm-- maybe. they had me

lay down, rest, no talk, not move, not sleep! for 30 minutes and

then the nurse came back... it was a looonnnnnnng 30 minutes!

thank you again. everyone is super here!

#s and story, help please

HI, ,

Welcome! Your doctor is an idiot if he thinks your fT4 is normal!

What

time of day was the

test done? Do you remember? If it was first thing in the morning, I

would think your cortisol

should be much higher. ACTH is a pituitary hormone that stimulates

cortisol, just like the

TSH hormone stimulates the thyroid hormone.

I wish you the best. Can you find another doc there?

in Va.

H i, ,

It IS a puzzle, isn't it? I bet it was a long 30 minutes! Please let us

know your new test results when you get them. It would be interesting to

find out what your cortisol would be first thing in the morning.
