Chromium is essential for thyroid hormone production and for blood sugar control and studies done with chromium and obese patients found that they lost weight with 400 mcg a day about 1/2 a pound a week. It is really important for proper metabolic function. Chromium also allowed diabetes patients to drop their insulin requirements. The B vitamins and C are essential for the adrenals.
