Just started Armour- questions

Hi! I just started on 1/2 gr Armour (today was my 4th day on it).

I'm noticing that I'm having more trouble sleeping at night since

starting, but I also started right after coming home from vacation,

so I'm not entirely sure it's the Armour that's causing it. Today I

felt very jittery- like I had taken caffeine pills- but it's only

happened today. My question is: is there an adjustment period where

these symptoms could happen and then go away? Or should I go down to

1/4 gr? How many days should I give it before doing something about

it? Could Armour have an impact on me so soon after starting? (no dr

to call, I've had to self-medicate) It's so frustrating to try to

figure this out on my own!

TIA, I really appreciate any help!!

Hi Tia. Don't feel alone---we are here to guide you!! It's really

hard to say what might be causing your symptoms. Normally, a person

who starts on only 1/2 grain would have none of the problems you

have described, and might even begin noticing improvements!

So.....yes, you might give it another few days. Then..if you

continue to have issues, go down to 1/4 grain.

Also..there could be a possibility that you have stressed adrenals,

which can cause the problems you mention. Then you would get on an

adrenal support, and restart Armour again after a few weeks.

There are labs in the LINKS section of this site where you see what

is going on with your adrenals.

Have you had your Ferritin tested? Low Ferritin can also cause

problems, but I'm not sure it would on such a small amount!
