Guest guest
Dawn, I had a doctor tell me to take up Yoga and try knitting or volunteer work. This was right after September 11 which had a huge emotional impact on me and 2 months after our 15 year old step-grandson died from playing Russian Roulette. I tried yoga, learned to knit and made winter hats for 22 little kids in a headstart program for christmas. Also made them each a teddy bear out of recycled denim and they all has movable arms and legs. Oh, and a church lady showed up and gave all the kids a hat, so mine were shelved for the next year! LOL. I did the charity work thru Longaberger Charitable champs with 2 other peeople and we recieved $1,500 for that so we bought new gym equipment for the preschool. (My Grandbaby Kimi's legacy) So, now, after I stressed myself out for months doing all this was I better? nope, went on to be sent to a shrink and put on Xanex and Zoloft. Went to a gastro guy for horribly painful tests due to colitis--he put me on a diet big on rice and boiled chicken. Oh, and Xanex. I could have sold the crap on the street! Well, I never really got better until I got internet and found this group and got Armour from Mexico and I never looked back. God bless those little piggies--they gave me back my life. Oh, and as a life long crocheter, I still preferr that to knitting! Lorry P.S. All my pups are gone now but one, drat, hubby won't let me keep her!
