Guest guest
I am having trouble getting to do any of her writing homework. does really well with math, spelling, and worksheet homework. She's doing better at writing sentences out of her spelling words, but there are days when she shuts down on doing those. Today she just totally didn't do her homework. They had career day at school. The homework was to finish a paragraph that they started in school. She had a good start. She had a graphic organizer with her topics. She told me another sentence that she wanted to write. However, she never wrote down anything. I sat with her and she wouldn't write. I then left her room, and she wouldn't write. had the same homework, and she needed a little help. At school, is getting good grades in writing. I don't see the same results at home. I know writing is her weakest area besides speech. I don't know if she really is tired, or if it is a discipline issue. Since she is so good about her other homework, I don't think it is a discipline issue. I'm wondering if I should add in her IEP that all writing assignments are to be done at school. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
