Guest guest
Most of the ones I hear about including myself as a baby and my daughter involve banging the head on any hard surface such as the floor or a wall. had shots through one year and then we stopped. I don't really know what the hitting himself is, but I have heard of others who go through the same thing. I think I read that when kids have ear infections or if they are teething they may hit themselves in the head. This too shall pass. > What is head banging? My son hits himself in the head frequently, > like he is trying to get a reaction or something. He went through > this " stage " when he was younger but is doing it again...I can't > figure out why? We certainly don't hit him in the head and we don't > watch that much tv and aren't around any other kids that might do > that.....He has never been vaccinated and hasn't been to the doctor > since he was 6 weeks old...except one visit to the ER because of an > allergic reaction to eggs...any ideas? > > >

He also would hit himself. Food sensitivities have many symptoms, and I have heard the same from Parents of other food allergic children. Guest guest
The food sensitivity may be true in some cases, but all had until she was 6 months old was breast milk and I was on a bland non- dairy, non-wheat routine, so I know it was not food allergies with . > > > What is head banging? Guest guest
I am way behind on reading, sorry. The thing that jumped out at me when reading your post & being a mother to 4 children is the new baby. If he has sensory issues going on coulld the new noices of a infant in the house be overwhelming to him? Or even guest coming to see the new baby? There is so much that effects these kids that wouldn't even be noticable to other children. Just a question??? For my son, just a small schedule change would make him crazy. And that was tough with him being the youngest of 4, schedules were changing all the time.
