Guest guest
Thanks so much for posting this. My peroxidase was 963 on my last endo visit in May/June. It would be interesting to see if this # has decreased after the time spent on Armour. I had only been taking Armour for about 6 weeks when this test was ran. I've never seen it on any of my tests before. My confusion is what exactly is this test? I tried to search for it online, but couldn't find an answer that made sense to me. But I was in a brain fog too, so that may have had something to do with it. lol SandyE~Houston High antibodies can be normal again with Armour and T3 Dr. Lowe has always been a pioneering doctor in the treatment of problems such as high antibodies. He gives the example of a patient who's anti-microsomal (peroxidase) antibodies were 673. When she was put on T4 by her family doctor, the treatment was ineffective. When she began taking 2 grains of Armour and 50 mcg. of Cytomel, her antibody level plunged to 70. When her Cytomel dose was 75 mcg., her symptoms began to distinctly improve. http://www.drlowe.com/QandA/askdrlowe/antibody.htm
Guest guest
I'm not Sandy, but I'll comment here that that is why I'm not taking my over range Free T3 very seriously, because of an antithyroidperoxidase antibody count of almost 2000. I'm hoping that I've knocked that down, won't know for awhile. Re: High antibodies can be normal again with Armour and T3/Janie > Thyroid peroxidase is the enzyme responsible for converting T4 to T3. If you have antibodies against it then your ability to convert will be lowered to negligible. > > Roxanna
