I'm back from vacation! What a awesome trip...anytime we can make my

father in law smile like a Cheshire Cat for 3 days straight is a good

vacation... (we surprised him with a 19 " flat screen monitor and

wireless keyboard and mouse set). I've been trying to catch up with

posts and made it thru a few hundred but have to give up for the

night. I have to wake up early to get in my 14th workout at

Curves..one more Friday and I'll have made my goal of 15 workouts in

a month which makes me a Member of the Month! :o) I went twice

while on vacation in AZ.

Welcome to all the new members, I'm sorry you all have reason to be

with us but very happy you found us. This is a wonderful place to

find the answers you are looking for.

I got my labs back for my arthritis testing...everything was in

NORMAL ranges, *whew*. They'll recheck the labs in a year just to

confirm the normal readings. Now it would be nice to find a reason

why my feet and ankles hurt so darn much...ya I know...it's the

prednisone. ;oP

The only thing that showed up nasty on my labs was my

cholesterol. A few months back total cholesterol was 188, this set

of labs it's up to 250. Has anyone else had a jump like this in such

a short period of time? My triglycerides were only slightly elevated

and both my HDL and LDL were high (so they balance each other out).

My GP didn't check my creatinine level (or the lab screwed up the

tests they were running) so I don't know if that has changed. They

aren't going to do anything about my cholesterol until I have my 24hr

urine and another cholesterol test done next month so we'll see where

we go from here. Any ideas about the rapid rise in the numbers?

I'll catch up with the rest of the posts over the next few days. I

hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season and wishing you all a

Very Happy New Year!

Amy G.
