Hey Rosie, couldn't find chocolate, but here's some sugar coated pears. yummy.

I knew you were missing for a few days but I didn't know what had happened, did the tornado do much damage to your house? Gosh, I hate those things. I heard I think at least two go over my house a couple of weeks ago, late at night, thankfully they didn't hit the ground anywhere near. but they were seen on radar, and I sure heard them.

You sound like you had so much fun with your grand kids I love putt putt golf, but I couldn't make it through the course either, and dang woman cooking such a breakfast you must have been feeling good.. Hope you didn't serve grits. Elodia won't come if you serve grits, and I'd have to think about it really hard, I don't like them either, but don't tell Quint.

Missed you, and glad your back. Hope you know we love our Ramblin Rose. And offers a big huge hug for you.

Hugs,

teresa

Oh, no, not really; I just feel crappy & thought that would be a quick way to get some TLC! I've been MIA for a few days. I had 3 grandkids here from Friday about 2pm to Saturday afternoon. We ate out for 's 10th birthday, went swimming at the Y, then went to see Shrek 2. The next morning something possessed me & I made breakfast; bacon, eggs, hash browns. Then we went to Putt-Putt; my niece works there & we played some Putt-Putt with her 3 year old, Gwynith. I actually only lasted 12 holes, but the kids had fun. By the time we got home, their mom was there, we had peanut butter ice cream pie ('s pick) with candles on it, sang Happy Birthday, opened presents, Theresa took the two little ones back home, I took Sam & a friend to the movies, then went back home & picked up my mom & took her to church because her ride was out of town. It's not worth the trip home & back, so I went to a couple of stores looking for an outfit to wear to Brad's wedding; no luck. Then back to get Mom, home for about 45 min. rest, then pick up Sam & friend, take him home, then take Sam back to Indianapolis, then back home, into my recliner, where I stayed for the next 16+ hours! I really enjoyed all the activities, but paid the price big-time. Besides being exhausted, feet hurting, legs hurting & a headache, my dizziness came back worse than ever today. I had actually felt better for a couple of days. So I am now accepting sympathy, cluck-clucks, etc. Chocolate would be nice too, and I'm not picky; the cheap stuff is fine with me.

For the medical update, I think I already told y'all that I saw a doctor at the Indiana Univ. Sarc. Clinic. He thought I needed a change in meds, more investigation into my hip & leg pain & a bunch of lab work. After the labs came back, nothing too far out of whack, he called my house & talked to my mother! Why do they have this radar that tells them you aren't home?!? Now I think the sky really is falling. . . . .nope, just a tree in my front yard landing on my porch during the tornado (REALLY!). Anyway, she said he was going to talk to my doctors here (I gave him PCP, neuro & pulmo #'s) and come up with a plan. I see my PCP Tuesday, so I'm going to see if he talked to this guy. What I'd like is a phone conference with the 4 of them, but that isn't going to happen. Anyway, I'll let you know what happens next.

Tomorrow I'm just going to lay around doing nothing. Maybe I'll eat some nachos. Unless FedEx brings me some chocolate. But I'm not feeling sorry for myself, not me. Just because my Pacers choked in the conference finals, just because I can't find anything to wear to Brad's wedding, just because the Cat has been hiding under the deck for 3 days & won't come out, just because Capriati lost in the French Open. Oh, oh, oh, one good thing! I got my hair highlighted & I love it! I'll take a picture in a day or two & send it. Well, over & out from your favorite Ramblin' Rose

A Tennessee girl that doesn't like grits? What's the world coming to?

The only damage I had was the tree & we didn't even hear it. I just went upstairs & glanced out the front window & thought, "What the heck is that?" It just landed on the front porch, actually a low deck. If it would have fallen a little closer, would have broken windows, etc. So we were really lucky. The same batch of storms had just gone through Indianapolis; a tornado touched down a few blocks from my daughter Theresa's house & less than a mile from where Sam is staying. Theresa had just taken Sam back & was home 10 min. when it hit. But everyone was okay. I was in high school in 1965 when the Palm Sunday tornadoes came through the midwest. I forget how many were killed, I think several hundred. 13 people in our little town were killed. Took me a long time to get over that! I kept a bag packed with all my ceramic horses & other treasures, right by the basement door, for months. Well, talk to you later. Thanks for the pears! Rose
