BlankMore good news about my house, or the landlord actually. When I signed the lease yesterday, he realized that there weren't any smoke detectors. I told him that I had some & would bring them from my old house, but he said not to do that. He gave me $30 & asked if that was enough to buy a couple of them. Then I was looking in the garage & there is a riding mower there. This house has a pretty big yard. He asked if I had a mower & I said just a regulart power mower, not a riding mower. He said he would leave the mower if I wanted. Boy, was Sam thrilled when I told her! So he seems like a pretty nice guy, plus he owns the Lemon Drop, a little restaurant that has the best hamburgers in town. Maybe we'll get some freebies! My friend Pam helped me go through the kitchen yesterday & sort out the stuff I really didn't want or need. I must have had 50 plastic lids with no matching containers! I had a bunch of canning jars & I know I'm not going any canning. I have 2 big boxes of books, a bunch of videos & other stuff to add to the garage sale. This weekend I'm going to tackle the family room. Talk at ya later. Rose/Rosie/Mom
