You're sort at the port site for a couple of days, but in the " grand " scheme of everything, it really wasn't so bad. My lumpectomy's next Monday afternoon...ugh. They are putting a wire of some sort so the surgeon can find the lump. That sounds worse than the surgery to me. This way you do not need to be stuck everytime you get chemo. Especially good if your veins are hard to find.
