I've been following this great tragedy on the internet and on TV and radio

since it became known the day after Christmas. When we're talking about more

than 100,000 deaths (so far), not to mention the problems the survivors

face, it's a natural catastrophe of epic proportions, and our IgAN and

kidney problems fade to nothing, in comparison.

I know from the usage statistics I get that www.igan.ca has many visits from

internet users in the affected countries. I just want them to know that they

and the victims are in my thoughts, and I'm glad that the community of

western and other developed nations, including my own, are finally starting

to get organized with respect to providing emergency aid and assistance.
