Guest guest Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 I do not have any documents mentioning T3 and T4. I guess they didn't test them. We will see what happens in January. In the meantime I feel okay except somewhat jittery at times. I have switched to decaf coffee and that seems to be helping. I don't get the jitters nearly as often as I was a week of so ago. I suspect but really haven't checked because I don't want a relapse but I think it has something to do with apples. My tree has been dropping apples like crazy and I have been canning them and having a lot of baked apples. But I haven't done any of them for about a week. Eating them does not seem to have any repercussions. (I don't add any sugar because they are so sweet already). It seems that every time I start cutting them up to cook I have to stop because I get so jittery and sweaty. I am wondering if it would help if I wear a mask and gloves while I am doing it. I wonder whether it has anything to do with the juice (apples contain a lot of ethylene, especially ripe ones which may be causing the problem). Crazy idea but who knows. I plan to process some more today and will try wearing gloves and a mask and see if it makes any difference. Ora >What were your free levels of T4 and T3 (with the ranges)? Guest guest Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Ora, it really probably doesn't have anythig to do with the apples - instead a steady activity causing the sweat and jitters.. When my meds for thyroid aren't right, any activity - the smallest of tasks leaves me drenched with sweat and anxiety because of the effort it takes to do the physical task and to concentrate on it. When I'm properly medicated - I don't have that problem.taurusrc@... wrote: I do not have any documents mentioning T3 and T4. I guess they didn't test them. We will see what happens in January. Guest guest Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 This is the second time my TSH has been low and I am thinking that it could have been a bad batch. The manufacturer of Armour thyroid has changed a couple of times during the past few years. (Bad batches are frequently reported for Armour as well as the Thyroxines. I have a new prescription with new pills so hopefully they will turn me around. I have been taking them now for a few days and have not had any more of the effects I mentioned earlier until today when I prepared the apples. Thanks very much for your concern - I am going to pay very close attention to my symptoms.
