Guest guest
Hey , It could be... there's been a whole thread of discussion on the lichen sclerosis list this week about lyme disease and it's connection to lichen sclerosis. Several of the women out there on that list have had lyme disease too. I think the antibiotic treatment might help your vulvar probs too. OH LORDY...PLEASE ADVISE-LYME Ive been diagnosed with LYME...igenex came back POSITIVE.is this why I have vulvar pain ladies..?????IM FREAKED OUT!!!!feeling REALLY down in the dumps
Guest guest
I also have Lyme. I was diagnosed last winter. My pain levels definately improved with my Lyme treatment. Gential pain is a Lyme symptom in both men and women. I know it's difficult not to freak out (I certainly did!) but at least you have a dianosis and you can work toward getting better. You need to find a doctor who knows how to treat Lyme (LLMD). If you've had it for a while (longer than a month or two) you will need long term treatment and MOST doctors don't know how to treat Lyme. You may have already found a good dr., since you got tested from Igenex. You can email me and I can give you some good Lyme boards and great info on Lyme from the best Docs in the country.
