Debbie,

I've baeen on Effexor XR 300mg a day for the last several years. It has definately helped my depression, as well as the added effect it has to lower pain levels by working with the seratonin our bodies make. (I don't understand seratonin- but i know its majorally important in pain control.)

Did they start you on the pack where you take 37.5 mg a day for a week, then up to 75mg, then to 150, 225, 300. 225-300mg is considered theraputic dosage.

It could be the combo of the 2 meds that are giving you the joy ride. Do check with your MD.

Hugs, Tracie

Thanks Tracie, Finally found someone that has been on it. Yes , I have that pack where I start out slowly. I also was reading up on it yesterday and some articles said that it may help with chronic pain. Well, thats a plus, huh? I agree with you, its probably being on both at the same time till I wean off the Zoloft that's making me high. I took mine about an hour ago and I don't feel as Loopy as yesterday morning. So thats good, although sometimes its okay to be loopy . LOL Now I know why it's for depression! Haha Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it. Luv, Debbietiodaat@... wrote:
