Guest guest
Hello Jamy, what was your cortisol level when you had the low aldosterone an renin? what drugs were you on? The amount of salt in the diet and medications, such as over-the-counter pain relievers of the non-steroid class (such as Motrin and Advil), diuretics , beta blockers, steroids, angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, and oral contraceptives can affect the test results. > Chronic illness? Like what???- like thyroid disease /Hashis, RA ,lupus etc - many patients with chronic disease end up with anaemia that can look a lot like iron deficiency except it doesn't respond to iron and the ferritin is normal. however it is possible to have anaemia of chronic disorders AND iron deficiency/low iron stores and that is a likely cause of low transferrin and low ferritin -- Best regards, Alison http://www.alisonashwell.com mailto:alison.ashwell@... new work uploaded http://www.artwanted.com/alisonashwell
Guest guest
I was on no meds at all except Armour for 5 days, salt free food and that was in. This was my third testing for aldosterone and the lowest. I will have to find the results. He was also concerned that the renin was low at the same time. The other times were very low too and two different ways, one urine and another blood. My cortisol levels were normal day a bit high at night. I have been tested for SLE and RA and ANA all negative Re[4]: Re: Ferritin donation from Hello Jamy, what was your cortisol level when you had the low aldosterone an renin? what drugs were you on?
