Is there a special word that I need to use when I ask for a private room. Is

there something that I can do in advance to get a private room. As everyone,

I am sure wants a private room. Should I bake cookies for someone? lol. If

any one has any idea what I need to do let me know please.

I'd like to know the same thing! I will have my husband and children

visiting me during my stay in the hospital, and I'd rather not have the kids

disturbing a room mate if I can help it. Is there a special set up that

needs to be done prior to admission? I would be so much more comfortable in

a private room!

I thought that the room were shared by other patience there in the hospital.

Am I right or wrong on this? And that there were only a certain number of

private room available.

Hey Chrstine!

Speaking from experience here...you are not promised a private room;

However, if there is one available after surgery you WILL get one.

draw...you get what you get. When I went in I was told they were very busy,

and I MIGHT get a private room. I did get a private room like all the

littermates on the 7th.....and there were vacant rooms on the 5th floor.

Just my $.02 worth!
