Guest guest
Yea, both systems are marginal but when you don't pay you can't complain. Actually, we do complain a lot cause our taxes are high and there is a lot of waste in the system. But.... hard to say if there is more waste here or in the US?? Here the government rips you off through incompedence, in the US it is the insurance companies. Hard to get good help these days! For you Americans who don't want to pay for MRI's, come to Canada. Just claim you are a refugee. No one will ever ask you about any pre-existing conditions and you will get a health card on the spot! Guest guest
Well - if you want to live in OZ - don't use the " refugee " word ---- BAD BAD word here.. Guest guest
I've never really had a problem with my MRIs. I have one every year. If you miss it, they may take a long time to re-schedule it. I've never had this happen so far. I've read bad stories in the papers. Some are true but I suspect some are exagerated by the medical community because they want more funding. Overall, I think our medical system is pretty good. Don't forget I am in Toronto which has a lot of hospitals and some very specalized ones. Smaller towns in Canada will have more problems. Guest guest
It's still OK to be a refugee in Canada. The Yanks can claim they are being abused by a medical system that wants their arm for having a simple MRI. I'm pretty sure if you try this, you'll be granted asylum in Canada and receive a lifetime of free MRIs.
