Guest guest
Hello everyone, It's been a long time since I have posted. I am still on the AP of Doxy 3 times a week and have seen a lot of improvement since I started. My question is, has anyone had the treatments of cleomyicin (??) done on outpatient basis and submitted to the insurance for some or all payment? I was reviewing my bill and insurance statements but noticed that the insurance did not pay for both office visits I had to go in for on the same day. What I am trying to say is, I had to go in the morning and in the afternoon. The nurse put the needle in and took it out and then in the afternoon in and took it out. The doctor told me that he would submit notes to the insurance as to why I was being stuck twice a day. I guess he didn't and I have a balance of nearly $1,000 of what the insurance didn't pay. I also noticed that 5 claims were never submitted from his office. All of this took place in the summer of 2002. I stopped treatment of IV's with him because it was painful to my skin. I see another doctor for the doxy. The first doctor also charged me for phone calls of nearly $200.00 and I NEVER asked him to call me with blood results. I always asked the nurse to fax or send me the results but she said she couldn't the doctor had to call me. I have never ever had a doctor charge me for phone calls have you? If you know how to word to the insurance of how I can resubmit the claims and ask for additional payment for two treatments on the same day can you advise me. The doctors office has turned me over to collections and collections say that if I don't have this all paid SOON they will turn it over to the credit bureau. Help if you can.
