Guest guest
I have a different, but similar problem. I wake up only half-way during the night and go to the kitchen and start eating. When I fully wake up I feel horrible that I ate what I did. I never intend to eat at night, but it's like my will-power and self-control are hindered and I do it without thinking. Weird, huh? Guest guest
Dear Jenn, You are not alone. While I don't have that particular problem myself I have known two women weight watchers in my lifetime that have the problem. They literally can't control what they consume at night and do not even have the capabilities of choosing. However, they both reached goal in spite of it. My current ww friend who is a night eater keeps fruit and healthy snacks available for just this situation and has moved many things she doesn't want to eat out to the freezer in the garage. This is a documented health problem...I saw a tv special concerning it a year or so ago. I'm sorry to say there's no known cure for it...at least at that time there wasn't. You are not weird! You just have a greater need to be vigilant about what's available in your kitchen because of this condition. I know you can do it. The gal that I know now has been at goal for almost two years...it is not easy for her and I admire her so much! Also, she walks a lot. Ev ewilliam@... > I have a different, but similar problem. Guest guest
I recall a TV show once about a person trying to lose weight, who was religiously watching her diet, exercising, and GAINING WEIGHT. Turns out, she was sleep-walking every night, heading down to the fridge, fixing a giant sandwich replete with condiments, eating it, and going back to sleep. Never remembered it in the morning. Was surprised when her husband filmed her doing this. Verified by medical authorities .... Mitch Ev wrote: >Dear Jenn, > >You are not alone.
