Guest guest
Oh, certainly not. If you have insurance you can go anywhere. There's OC Memorial, Hoag has plenty of locations including one on Beach Blvd. in HB. And they both have walk-in care locations. Memorial Prompt Care is at Beach and Ellis across from 5 Points, and the one Hoag I know about is on Warner between Bolsa Chica and Garfield. UCI has specialists offices in Orange and Irvine. There's got to be others, but I don't have insurance so don't pay much attention. I take a class at OCC every semester so I have access to the student health care at Memorial Prompt Care - a good place to start for referrals, etc. CarolR CHARLES A POWELL wrote: > Excuse a personal question: I'm new to northern OC [HB, too], and while I retain my internist in Torrance, I am looking for an endo, a Psychiatrist, a lab for blood work, etc., and physical and psychological therapists. Guest guest
Yeah, the one that just fired me. If you want treatment there for diabetes you have to be on NPH and R if you take insulin, or whatever oral agents they have available for free. I could not in good conscience suggest the Huntington Beach Community Care Center for diabetic care. They do not keep up with what's going on, consider Ultra Lente and Humalog " new " insulins that they will not even consider prescribing or working with. If you go there, be careful. I should have thought of the OCC option - my partner sent to SMC and got insurance through them. Are there any free clinics in OC? > > Charlie

Guest guest
And then there are the doctors that don't even know there are differences in insulins. (that's a fact) Betty > >They do not keep up with what's going on, consider Ultra Lente and Humalog > " new " insulins that they will not even consider prescribing or working with.< >
