Guest guest
My blood sugar levels have really been out of control lately. I woke up this morning with sugars of over 200. My last a1c was 6.9. This is up from 5.7. I was in really good control not that long ago. I expressed concerns about this to my new doctor who simply stated that my a1c looked great. He said it was right were it should be. This really freaks me out and makes me want to switch doctors. Any advice on this? -Sandy
Guest guest
I see that an A1c of 7 equates to an average BG of 170. And I am amazed that many doctors and patients find that acceptable. Well to be more precise 147.
Guest guest
Well, that sounds much better, but 147.1 is not an AVERAGE BG that I would like to have, either.
