Guest guest
Hi , If you feel pressure at the thought of weighing in each week, that makes it a hard deal..Your still doing the program and going to the gym. Your muscles are no doubt getting heavy and that will definately show on the scales. Give yourself the break, if needed while staying on program. Many people do it without going to meetings and do very well.. others need the accountability of the weekly WI. It is individual, as we all figure out along the way, doing whats works for us is what makes it work! Keep posting and let us know how your doing. Wanting it will get you there... Best to you......Kallie ==================================================================== In Serious-Weight-Watchers , Crawford <rscrawford@m...> wrote: > After four weeks of gains, I've decided it's too depressing to get > weighed in each week, and I'm just going to weigh myself monthly at the > gym. Guest guest
I hope you'll stick with the WW plan though.....? > I don't really see any benefit in sticking with the > meetings, so I am not renewing my membership.
Guest guest
, I agree that the program can be done without the benefit of the weekly meetings, as many of the at-home WWers can attest to. I myself NEEDED the weekly accountability, but I can see that if I was doing everything right and still gaining that I would have a hard time making it each week, but then, I think that would make it hard for me to even stay on the program at all. I guess what I'm saying is for me, if I was in your position and decided to stop attending meetings, that would be the beginning of a downward spiral into bad habits, especially if I continued to not see results at my home weigh ins. As long as you stick to your plan though (doing the program on your own and weighing in monthly at the gym), I think you'll do fine. Everyone is different and needs to find what works for them. And still, sometimes, what works may change as we go through this journey. April
Guest guest
, Not everyone goes to meetings, so even though it might really help some people (like myself) it's not the only reason people lose weight on WW. I remember all your posts from the past few months where you were so happy about your weight loss. Your stats were awesome and you weren't that far from your goal. You want to stay on the program and that's awesome. But, you've also gained the past 4 weeks. Now, if you don't want advice or help...quit reading. =) But, if you do, look at what behaviors may have contributed to your gain. Eating too many points...not exercising enough...eating too few points even. Since you gained the past 4 weeks, something isn't right and you have to figure out what that is...or at least come face to face with it. Don't let this 4.7 lb gain effect you so much that it turns into something worse. You worked DAMN HARD to get to the point you're at and now is not the time to waste all that effort. I'm not saying you have to go to meetings...but don't get discouraged. Take action against whatever is standing in your way of your goal. I get so frustrated sometimes and one day of eating bad turns into 2 weeks...then 2 months. And now I'm on the same journey I was on last April. Losing this stinking 30 pounds again. I bet you everyone on this board has either gained or maintained at least one week. And, it is so much easier to go back and lose those 4.7 lbs. now than it will be later. Good luck . We believe in what you're doing. 175/155.8/130 Throwing in the towel After four weeks of gains, I've decided it's too depressing to get weighed in each week, and I'm just going to weigh myself monthly at the gym. Besides, I haven't had time in over a month to actually stick around for the meetings, so tonight, with my current WW membership expiring, I decided not to renew. I'm going to stick with the program, but when I renewed my membership ten weeks ago I really wanted to get to 26 points -- I've been in my current point range for over a year, and it's very, very discouraging -- especially since I was just half a pound away just a month ago (now 5.2 pounds away). I don't really see any benefit in sticking with the meetings, so I am not renewing my membership.
