Also there could be suggestions for prep and types of foods. Even after surgery we need to eat!LOL I think it would help in the variety department I think I have heard many who cannot come up with much variety after surgery so it would be there to help them! Box 2110 Kearney, Ne 68848 For information on having your cookbook printed, write for FREE information packet or call Toll-Free at 1- I have seen many examples of this company's work and they do a really good job. So whoever is going to be taking care of this I would strongly recommend you checking this out. In fact if you call this 800 number and ask for information they will send you several cookbooks to look at and keep and then we can all supmit our recipes and tips which pertain to a person that is preparing for surgery or has had surgery recently and the ones that are 6 months to 1 year down the road from having surgery. As far as chosing how the money would be used, I think we would have to give grants to patients that need the surgery and are able to pay for part of the expenses. It could all be worked out by some of the people that live in Durham and have had the surgery and would determine a fair way of distributing the money fairly. I think it could be done. If you stop and think about how so many different people can stomach different things post op...I think it is a great idea. A-lot of us (per Dr R) try to focus on protein as well as low fat. I know for me, it would be great...b-4 surgery I ate nothing but fast food hence adding to my weight problem. The main reason for this was b/c I did not like to cook nor was I very creative. So...I think this post op cookbook filled with tons of meals that are hig protein, low fat, no sugar, etc etc would be just what we ALL need. I have been reading the mail this morning and you idea on the tips sounds good. It would be more helpful to everyone instead of a cook book. So i support your idea.
