Lynne, hon we all hurt so bad... It's miserable, your joints, your lungs, your stomach, what ever is affected with this disease hurts.. Nope your no different, your not superwoman, but I can say this you have maintained better than most of us, maybe because you run a household of 8 kids, or the fact that you were a track coach.. I don't know...I've never considered my self a weak person either but I couldn't have held a big household down like yours....And traveled to get the kids where they needed to be in a different state..Your tough, you've been through alot.. Just slow down a bit.... The question was does this disease make us hurt? The answer to that is a big YES...

Why do I hurt so bad? I was a very athletic persona nd could handle

a lot of pain. I could bear through almost anything. Thurs. I had a

lower G.I. and I cried through the whole thing, and begged them to

stop. And they are thinking of possible surgery again. My pain seems

to be so much more intense,,,my tolerance shouldn't of dropped, is

it just b/c of this disease that we hurt more?

Hi I am sorry that things are rough for you now, I have had the lower GI before all this started up and it was not all that much fun then if you know what I mean, but to answer your question, from what I have been told since our immune systems aren't functioning the way they should we have nothing to fight with so that would make us more vulnerable to everything, and I think that would include pain we have been able to handle in the past. I think it does I cringe when i get my eyebrows waxed now and to get my teeth cleaned at the dentist makes me want to dye. its either we are more sensitive or we are just sooooooooo sick of hurting that even the small things seem big or should i say painful
