I just tell people, when they question why I want to loose more

weight, or comment that I'm getting " too skinny " (?), that I'm just

trying to GET HEALTY!

This is not a vanity thing, it's a health thing for me. (well mostly)

Dr. Leo - 6/03/04

weighed 315 at orientation (May '03)

252 at surgery, last weighed at 204.0 (9/11/04)

(Hopefully someday 140 or less)

ps--I am now wearing my high school class ring, my fingers have

shrunk so much! (from the class of 1972!)

Hi Sandi H

I feel the same way its a health thing, Although sometimes now i find myself looking at someone in a store and saying, now in a year or so, maybe i will look about that size, and sometimes i say to my husband, maybe in a year i might be that size,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Its a strange feeling because i cant imagine my face or self in a body of these other sized women......................... It is all about the health for me diabetes just set in and high blood pressure, and i am thinking how nice it will be to diminish or get rid of those diagnosis', yet sometimes when i get to thinking or daydreaming, i wonder, god i have absolutely no butt whatsoever now, what is going to do after i loose the weight, and how small will my boobs get, all the what ifs and wonders of it all.,.................................................

I like what you said, i think you are right, i think that sometimes people dont know what to say and people dont think sometimes before they speak, sometimes i think i just think too much about things in general and tend to make more out of it than there was, but what you said is something to also weigh out

glad your doing better from your reconstructive surgery and sounds like you can use your treadmill again, thats great, i am so behind on posts, so many hours worked this week and not enough time to read everything in here

I get that alot, especially at work. I honestly think the women are trying to be funny but it does come across as a kinda bursting my bubble kind of thing. At first I actually felt guilty for losing more than them!! Weird. I just had reconstructive surgery on Sept 1 and on the way home from one of my post op appts I stopped in to say hello to everyone, and the office coordinator said " jokingly" hey you cant come in here, only fat people are allowed in here. You dont belong in here anymore. I think she meant it as a compliment, but she is always telling me I weigh less than her, but then she also tells me she is inspired by me , that she could never have done what Ive done. So I dont think its always said with rudeness in mind. Some people just dont know how to express compliments without feeling bad about their own
