Guest guest
Hello, Is there anyone out there that could recommend a doctor in Georgia that is familiar with Antibotic Protocol and has treated patients with dermatomyositis? I am 33 years old and have had dermatomyositis since 1995. Since 2002 I have been unable to walk more than a few feet or get up from a seated position without help. I just read Scleroderma The Proven Therapy That Can Save Your Life and tried to convince my doctor to treat me with Minocin, but to no avail. When I came down with the first symptoms of my disease I went to a dermotologist and he said I had adult acne and treated me with Minocin. I took it for two years. About a year after I stopped using Minocin all hell broke loose. I was later diagnosed with Scleroderma and then again later my disease took on more of the dermatomyositis symptoms. I am positive that the Minocin helped me for the onset of my disease even though I did not even know it. If anyone has any info. that could be helpful to me please email me at jennyrada2002@.... Thanks!! Jen

Guest guest
Jen, I know of two ways that someone can find an AP doctor, using two websites: 1) American College for the Advancement in Medicine www.acam.org There is a referral section. From the home page, go to " Public " / " Find a Doctor " . Enter your zip code, city, or state. 2) International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) www.iacprx.org There is a referral section. From the home page, go to " Referral Service " . Find the compounding pharmacist nearest you, and ask them who they'd recommend for the condition that you have, or the protocol that you want to use. Also, make sure that you're using the brand name Minocin. You can get it inexpensively at www.rxcarecanada.com it's only $147 for 100 capsules of 100mg. Almost as cheap as the generic under prescription drug coverage. If you have prescription drug coverage, talk your doctor into writting " DAW " (dispense as written) on your Minocin prescription to avoid a generic with questionable effectiveness. After being diagnosed with RA 2 years ago, I have only recently learned that I, and I alone, am responsible for making sure that I get good health care. The government certainly isn't going to do it. But, neither is a conventional or a holistic doctor. And, while I choose to work with a holistic doctor for the vast majority of my health care, I still feel obligated to question everything that they do. They are busy, and they make mistakes, or have oversights. Hopefully, you have already learned that as well. ~Jeff dermatomyositis, I need a new doctor:) Posted by: " jennyrada2002 " jennyrada2002@... jennyrada2002 Fri Nov 10, 2006 8:10 pm (PST) Hello, Is there anyone out there that could recommend a doctor in Georgia that is familiar with Antibotic Protocol and has treated patients with dermatomyositis?
