Guest guest
These are all just estimators more than calculators. They just give you a ballpark figure. This is why most doctors will order a 24 hour urine every once in a while so they can know what your creatinine clearance is. Guest guest
Hi, I can only remember one person here who compared the date he started dialysis with the date the estimator generator. In his case, the estimater was very accurate. Perhaps some other folks can weigh in what their experience was. Cy GFR estimator > > > Newby question of the day: > > How accurate are GFR estimators? Guest guest
My experience was that the MDRD calculator was bang on when it was decided I would start dialysis. It showed 11.5% GFR. Guest guest
The GFR estimator is less accurate when you have better kidney function, and more accurate when your levels get really below 40% or so if my memory serves me correctly, which may be questionable after this long week and a long day today!
